OOP Bulletin ArchivesSpring 1996, Vol. 5, No. 1From the editor: Spring 1996By Len Sperry, M.D., Ph.D.Two changes accompany this issue of our Academy's publication. One is a change in editors, and the other is a change in title and format. I am succeeding Brian L. Grant, M.D. as editor. When he assumed the presidency of AOOP, Brian asked me to assume primary responsibility for this publication. I agreed on the condition that I could institute some change in format and editorial policy. I envision our publication evolving from a newsletter format as it was in AOOP News to a bulletin-like format called Organizational and Occupational Psychiatry. The Bulletin will feature news and announcements as it has in the past, but also provide a feature article or two and some regular columns. These columns will have a specific area of focus. For instance, one will feature reviews of new and classic books on occupational and organizational psychiatry; another will review pertinent journal articles relevant to AOOP members; and a third will describe new areas of consulting practice. The feature article in this issue, Treatment Outcomes Consultation is an example of what that column would address. Finally, it is my hope that this publication can expand from a semiannual to a quarterly publication. These changes will require the involvement of others to take charge of the various columns and features. Accordingly, I will need some contributing editors. If you have the interest and desire to function as a contributing editor, please send a c.v. and writing sample to me in c/o:
